Hi Ryan, There are some templates for Avery labels (or others of equivalent sizes) on the web. Any you find for MS Excel should also work with Numbers. The one that I looked at (provided by Avery) was an MS Word temlate, though. It would be openable in Pages, but I don't know if it would retain the table layout, which is the significant part of the template. Constructing your own in Numbers is an easy task, and requires only that you take a few measurements to confirm the calculated numbers below.
Avery® Easy Peel® Address Labels 8162. Downloadable blank template to create 14 customizable Address Labels in minutes.
Avery label sheets have equal margins at top and bottom and equal margins on the left and right sides. Logical, as this means you don't have to worry about which end is the top and which the bottom when printing on them. Avery 8162 sheets contain 14 labels, each 1 1/3' x 4'. Start with a New Numbers Spreadsheet document ('Blank' template) Delete Table 1 and insert a Plain table (no header rows or columns). Resize the table to contain two columns and seven rows.
Click on the View button and choose Show Layout. Open the Layout Inspector. Set Page Layout to 'Portrait' Side to side, the labels themselves take 8 inches. The remaining half inch is split more or less equally into three parts—the left and right margins and the gutter between the two columns of labels. Each part is 0.67' wide. Set the left and right margins to 0.17' There is no vertical space between the labels, so the height of the printed area is 7 x 1 1/3', or 9 1/3', which we'll call 9.32 to allow for equal margins top and bottom. 11-9.32 leaves 1.68' for margins and an equal split of that means the top and bottom margins should be set to 0.84'.
Set the Header and Footer heights both to 0. On the table, click on cell B7 to select it, then press command-A to Select All (cells).
Open the Table Inspector. Set the row height to 1.33 in and the column width to 4.07 in.
In the Format bar. Click the Center (left to right) button. Click the Center (top to bottom) button. Close the Inspector.

Click once on cell A1. Go Edit Paste and Match style. For more than 7 names, copy half the names plus enough to bring the number to a multiple of 7. Copy the rest of the names. Regards, Barry.
Ryan, Thanks for the additional information. You originally said that your table was 2 columns by 7 rows, but you didn't say that your label layout, or arrangement, was also 2 columns by 7 rows. Yes, it's nice to have the Avery stock number too since that can save you doing your own measurements to get the final spacing. You still may need to measure from the top of the sheet to the top of the first label. Barry gave you a perfectly good method.

My approach would have been to add a new Sheet to your document and to put one plain table on it with 2 columns and 7 rows. Turn on the rulers: View Show Rulers, and drag your table so that the left edge is on the position of the left side of the left column of labels and the top of the table is even with the top of the first row of labels. Now click on the table name in the sheets pane and then grab the lower right table sizing handle (a tiny open square) and drag the handle until the bottom of the table and the right side of the table align with the measurements for for the bottom and right edges of the labels.
While the label table is still selected, go to the Text Inspector and set both the horizontal and vertical alignments to Center. For the equations, I'm going to assume that your data begins in row two, leaving row one for the header information. Further, I'm going to name the first table 'Data', double-click the table name in the Sheets pane and edit it to read Data. The equation is a little complex, but all you need to do is copy it from here and paste it into Cell A1 of your label table. The equation to transfer the data to your label table is: =IFERROR(OFFSET(Data:: $B$1, (ROW-1).2+COLUMN, 0), ') Next, select A1 and drag to Fill Handle (tiny circle in lower right corner) to the right, extending the formula to B1. Then select both A1 and B1 at once and drag the fill handle to the bottom row, extending the formula to the rest of the table. Now that your names are showing up in the label table, select the entire table and adjust the font size to your liking.

Print a text sheet on plain paper and make adjustments to your label table if necessary. Hope this works for you. Jerry Message was edited by: Jerrold Green1. Apple Footer.
